Colombia: ¿How Is It to Live Between the Sierra Nevada, the Sea, and the Jungle?

"Between the sky, the sea, and nothingness."

Colombia Santa Marta—that’s where I was born.

I was born in a small city—well, a kind of town trying hard to expand its borders—Santa Marta, in Magdalena, Colombia.

I’m a child of the heat, though I love the cold. Mornings are for the beach, afternoons for eating on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in Minca; a special village loved by the people of Magdalena, Santa Marta, and even many tourists. And evenings are for clouds, somewhere up in the mountain, in a hostel lost among the trees.

Not to mention the hidden rivers tucked into every corner of this piece of land. I mean, there’s everything here to have a good time. And I’d like to be the one who shares that point of view.

But in this first episode I’ll focus on a spot “close to Minca”: La Tagua, a place where, you could say, we go with friends to clear our minds and de‑stress from the suffocating heat that sometimes hugs Santa Marta. All made with care, an iPhone 12 as the only production tool, nothing more. I hope you enjoy it and watch it whole.

Remember, this is just a pilot episode—an attempt to document my life. I’m not filming a self‑improvement movie. Nothing like that. Not at all.

But back to the point: sometimes we don’t realize how lucky we are to have these spots in a city that, sadly, has been looted since its beginnings (but that’s another conversation). I want to focus on all the good things this corner of the Colombian Caribbean has given me.

P.S.: it doesn’t have to be perfect. Starting… is enough.
Slowly, without rush, the way things happen here.

¿Why Is Earth Perfect For Life?: The Cosmic Miracle.

Imagine this scenario: you're floating in the infinite vacuum of space, looking down at a tiny blue dot. That dot isn't just any planet. It's a cosmic gear so precisely calibrated in its physical characteristics that it defies all the probabilities proposed by modern astrobiology.

Mathematical coincidence? Design? Or the inevitable emergence of immutable physical laws dictating the origin of life?
